As Moças Daquela Hora - 1973

Film in three segments that tells the stories of three women from families with distinct social standards from different parts of Brazil. Their stories are intertwined by the enigmatic apparition of Pilar, the owner of a brothel, and Fininho at critical moments in their lives. In “Rio de Janeiro”, Mariana falls in love with a trapeze artist but eventually ends up marrying her former boyfriend. In “Bahia”, Isaura is married but desired by two other men. In “Belo Horizonte”, Lia, a young woman from a traditional family of Tres Coracoes, Minas Gerais, is rejected by her husband on their wedding night on the grounds that she is no longer a virgin.
